Earlier this year, I wrote about\u00a0Lesspain’s KYNO<\/a>, a brand-new piece of software that looks to fill the void between your camera and the editing suite. As of now, it’s officially out of beta and ready for action.<\/h3>\n

In case you missed that first article about the\u00a0workflow tool<\/a>, here’s a quick recap of what KYNO is and what it does. Basically, it’s a standalone app for Mac that performs a wide array of media management tasks. It allows you to view all of your footage (no matter where it’s located or how it’s formatted) in a variety of useful ways, batch, label, and rename it, add and manipulate metadata, export still frames, and of course, transcode it to various edit-friendly formats. There’s plenty more that the software does, but that’s the core functionality.<\/p>\n
