Biography
Los Angeles-based Annie Zhou is an artist, composer and instructor specializing in the Guzheng, a 21-string traditional Chinese instrument with over 2,500 years of history. Her group, Amare Girls Band, brings together Chinese and Western instruments to form a unique listening experience. Devoting herself to the promotion and integration of traditional Chinese instruments in the US, she hopes to bring this rich array of sounds into the Western music scene. Throughout her career, Annie has won several awards for her music and has had her work broadcast on local music stations. She continues to perform extensively, both locally and internationally.
