Felix Arndt (1889 - 1918) was an American pianist and composer. He's best known for his popular 1915 piano novelty, 'Nola', which became a significant hit and is often considered an early precursor to the jazz genre. Trained in classical music, his compositions blended classical influences with the emerging ragtime style. He passed away during the influenza pandemic in 1918 at the age of 29, cutting short his promising career.
