      Biography

      Johannes Brahms (1833 - 1897) was a German composer, pianist and conductor from the mid-Romantic period. Born in Hamburg, Germany, he spent much of his professional life in Vienna, Austria-Hungry. Among his many works are symphonies, concerti, chamber music, choral compositions, piano works and over 200 songs.
