Biography

Norvik is the ambient music project of Gabriel Chan. Norvik's birth came out of a need for new ways of creating and telling stories. piano, synthesizers, strings, field recordings, noise and stories blend to form a cinematic amalgam in Norvik’s music. Influenced by his classical music upbringing, literature and diverse cultural background, Norvik is obsessed with the texture and atmosphere of sound and how it reveals layers of hidden stories over time.
