Artist
Vincent Parker is an American singer, songwriter, and vocal arranger from Detroit, Michigan. Influenced by soul legends like Donny Hathaway, Sam Cooke, and The Temptations, he grew up surrounded by music — his father, also a vocalist, often played Motown classics while his mother sang and collected gospel music. Parker honed his talents in high school, performing with top choirs at prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, The Apollo, Newark Symphony Hall, and Disney World. He later fronted bands Ninevah Road and Jacknife Sympathy and collaborated with artists like Muzz Skillings of Living Color. Notably, Parker has contributed to several tracks by Taylor McFerrin, including one featured on HBO’s Insecure and OWN’s Queen Sugar.
